DFA invites Central Luzon residents to take the Foreign Service Officer exam

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Jan.4 (PIA) — Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) invites Central Luzon residents to take the qualifying test of the Foreign Service Officer Exam that is scheduled on March 10.

DFA Regional Officer-In-Charge Arturo Romua said the exam is open to all natural born Filipinos aged 35 years old and below who are holders of a bachelor’s degree or higher and have undergone employment or undertaken further studies for at least two years.

The Qualifying test covers a) English grammar and correct usage b) reading comprehension c) logical reasoning d) quantitative reasoning/data interpretation at e) leadership/knowledge of management concepts.

It will simultaneously be conducted in over 14 venues around the archipelago including the City of San Fernando in Pampanga.

An applicant must obtain a passing grade of at least 80% in order to qualify for the preliminary interview.

“After the preliminary interview, applicants would still need to hurdle the Written, Oral, and Psychological Tests” Romua added.

The Written Test covers English; Filipino; Philippine Political, Economic, Social, and Cultural Conditions; International Affairs; World History; and Foreign Language.

Application forms should be personally submitted not later than January 25 to the Pampanga Consular Office or not later than January 31 to the DFA main office.
